BOTE® WARRANTY POLICY
- BOTE® makes every effort to produce boards to the highest quality and standards in the industry.
- We complete quality checks in our factories and in our warehouses to confirm each board’s quality before shipping.
- Because of the nature of paddle boarding we cannot warranty the performance of any board or shape for individual riders and varying levels of skills and abilities.
- Furthermore, we cannot guarantee against damage or breakage and cannot protect or warranty against circumstances outside of our control.
- BOTE® reserves the right to amend this policy at any time without notice.
- Subject to the terms of this warranty policy, BOTE® will, in its sole discretion, either repair or replace/provide replacement parts for any defective product that is covered by this warranty policy.
- Please register your BOTE inflatable or solid board, KULA, or accessory upon purchase directly from BOTE® or any Authorized Dealer.
- In addition, please keep a copy of your sales receipt in order to show proof of purchase.

PROCESSING A WARRANTY CLAIM FOR ITEMS PURCHASED DIRECTLY THROUGH BOTE®
Please review our product-specific warranty terms below to determine if your product is covered under warranty. If you believe your product is defective and covered by this warranty policy, please follow the steps below to submit a warranty claim.
- If you purchased your product from a BOTE® flagship store, or through BOTEboard.com, please fill out our Warranty Request Form here. Please note that we require images of the product in its entirety (top, bottom, sides and the affected area or issue) in order to process your warranty claim. We may also request a video of the product as part of the warranty claim process.
- After submitting the Warranty Request Form, you will receive a ticket number via email regarding your warranty request.
- A BOTE® Customer Service Specialist will contact you regarding your warranty claim within two business days after you submit the Warranty Request Form. Our specialist may request additional information about the warranty claim at that time, and will provide further information on next steps if your product is covered under our warranty.
- In order to process your warranty claim, we may require you to return your BOTE® product to us. If so, the BOTE® Customer Service Specialist will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number, a copy of your warranty form and a pre-paid shipping label. Please note that failure to include the RMA number and warranty form with a returned product can lead to delays in processing your warranty claim.
- Once the product arrives at our Distribution Center, our Warranty Claims Team will inspect the product and will notify the BOTE® Customer Service Specialists of any discrepancies.
- The repaired item, replacement or replacement part should be processed within one week after we receive the returned product. An email confirmation will be sent to you if a repaired item or replacement item is being shipped to you.
PROCESSING A WARRANTY CLAIM FOR ITEMS PURCHASED FROM AN AUTHORIZED DEALER
Please review our product-specific warranty terms below to determine if your product is covered under warranty. If you believe your product is defective and covered by this warranty policy, please follow the steps below to submit a warranty claim.
- Please first contact the Authorized BOTE® Dealer you originally purchased from.
- You are responsible for delivery to and pick-up from or to the closest Authorized BOTE® Dealer.
- If the Authorized BOTE® Dealer’s inspection indicates a defect that is covered under the manufacturer’s warranty, BOTE® may repair or replace your product. Proof of purchase such as a sales receipt may be required. If repairs or evaluation are required, BOTE® will work with the dealer to facilitate repairs or replacements.
BOTE® PRODUCTS WITH AERO TECHNOLOGY
Beginning on January 1, 2020, for the original retail purchaser (“Consumer”), BOTE® provides a limited two year warranty from date of purchase against material or manufacturing defects in the hull and deck for a registered product.
If the product is covered under this warranty, BOTE® will repair, replace/provide replacement parts at its discretion, the board or any part or component that is deemed defective. BOTE® reserves the right to change products and designs without incurring any obligations to incorporate such changes into already completed products, or those in the hands of dealers or consumers. Boards repaired or replaced under this warranty may or may not incorporate these changes.
This limited warranty does not apply to:
- Normal wear and tear and aging of product.
- Cosmetic flaws or variations in colors.
- Use in excess of the manufacturers recommended maximum load capacity.
- Failure to comply with pressure recommendations, assembly / disassembly and handling procedures.
- Any puncture, cut or abrasion sustained in normal use or damage from unreasonable uses or improper storage.
- BOTE® or AeroBOTE® purchased second-hand or used BOTE® or AeroBOTE® damaged by extreme weather or environmental conditions.
- BOTE® or AeroBOTE® damaged while in possession of a freight carrier, a dealer, Consumer, or any party other than BOTE®.
- BOTE® or AeroBOTE® damaged by accident, neglect, improper use or handling.
- BOTE® or AeroBOTE® that have been towed by power or sail boats.
- BOTE® or AeroBOTE® designated as Prototypes.
- BOTE® or AeroBOTE® sold as “demos” or in “as is” condition.
- BOTE® or AeroBOTE® determined to have been used for any activity other than an activity which is customary for the product.
- BOTE® or AeroBOTE® that have been structurally or dimensionally altered or modified.
- BOTE® or AeroBOTE® used for commercial or rental purposes.
- Any product that has been lost or stolen.
Except as expressly set forth herein, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BOTE® expressly disclaims all warranties, expressed or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, with regard to BOTE® paddle boards. Some state, country, or provincial laws do not allow the exclusion of certain implied warranties, so the above exclusion may not apply to you.
In no event shall BOTE® be liable for any incidental or consequential damages or expenses resulting from any defects in its products. BOTE®’s aggregate liability with respect to any product shall be limited to an amount equal to Consumer's original purchase price paid for the defective product.
To the extent any limitation or exclusion contained herein is contrary to applicable law, such limitation or exclusion shall be severable and all other terms herein shall remain in full force and effect and are valid and enforceable. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights. BOTE® PRODUCTS WITH GATORSHELL TECHNOLOGY AND HANDCRAFTED EPOXY BOARDS
For the original retail purchaser (“Consumer”), BOTE® provides a limited one year warranty from date of purchase against material or manufacturing defects in the hull and deck for a registered product.
If the warranty applies, BOTE® will repair, replace/provide replacement parts at its discretion, the board or any part or component that is deemed defective. BOTE® reserves the right to change products and designs without incurring any obligations to incorporate such changes into already completed products, or those in the hands of dealers or consumers. Boards repaired or replaced under this warranty may or may not incorporate these changes.
This limited warranty does not apply to:
- Normal wear and tear and aging of product.
- Cosmetic flaws or variations in color.
- Use in excess of the manufacturers recommended maximum load capacity.
- Failure to comply with pressure recommendations, assembly / disassembly and handling procedures.
- Any puncture, cut or abrasion sustained in normal use or damage from unreasonable uses or improper storage.

For the original retail purchaser (“Consumer”), BOTE® provides a limited two year warranty from date of purchase against material or manufacturing defects in cooler workmanship and welding.
If the warranty applies, BOTE® will repair, replace/provide replacement parts at its discretion, the cooler or any part or component that is deemed defective. BOTE® reserves the right to change products and designs without incurring any obligations to incorporate such changes into already completed products, or those in the hands of dealers or consumers. Coolers repaired or replaced under this warranty may or may not incorporate these changes.
This limited warranty does not apply to:
- Normal wear and tear and aging of the product
- Small parts such as buckles
- Cosmetic flaws or variations in color
- Product purchased second-hand or used
- Any puncture, cut or abrasion sustained in normal use or damage from unreasonable uses or improper storage, including subjecting the product to stress beyond the physical limits of the materials used in its construction.
- Any damage sustained while the product is in the possession of a freight carrier, a dealer, Consumer or any party other than BOTE®
- Any damage caused by accident, neglect, improper use or handling
- Any product used for any activity other than an activity that is customary for the product
- Any product used for commercial purposes
- Any product that has been lost or stolen

This limited warranty does not apply to:

- The Lid Trax™ lid pad or the Tote™ Handle.
- Cosmetic flaws or variations in color
- Product purchased second-hand or used
- Any puncture, cut or abrasion sustained in normal use or damage from unreasonable uses or improper storage, including subjecting the product to stress beyond the physical limits of the materials used in its construction.
- Any damage sustained while the product is in the possession of a freight carrier, a dealer, Consumer or any party other than BOTE®
- Any damage caused by accident, neglect, improper use or handling
- Any product used for any activity other than an activity that is customary for the product
- Any product used for commercial purposes
- Any product that has been lost or stolen

HIDEA MOTORS
Applies to Hidea HDF6HS 6HP, Hidea HDF9.9HS 9.9HP and Hidea HDF9.9HES Electric Start 9.9HP 4 Stroke Outboard Motors
For the original retail purchaser (“Consumer”), BOTE® provides a limited 30-day warranty from date of purchase against material or manufacturing defects for a registered product.
The warranty does not apply to damage caused by:
- Use of the product in a manner inconsistent with the recommended operation procedures
- Use of accessories and parts not purchased from BOTE®
- Use of fuel, oil or lubricants other than those recommended in the Owner’s Manual Modification or removal of parts
- Routine maintenance needs or normal wear and tear (including cosmetic damages such as scratches or dents)
- Accidents, collisions or contact with foreign materials
- Product purchased second-hand or used
Please note that Hidea no longer offers service in the US. BOTE® is not the manufacturer of Hidea motors and does not offer service or repair aside from the 30 day limited warranty above.

Packs repaired or replaced under this warranty may or may not incorporate these changes.
This limited warranty does not apply to:
- Normal wear and tear and aging of the product
- Small parts such as buckles

This limited warranty does not apply to:
- Normal wear and tear and aging of product.
- Cosmetic flaws or variations in colors.
- Product purchased second-hand or used
- Use in excess of the manufacturers recommended maximum load capacity.
- Failure to comply with pressure recommendations, assembly / disassembly and handling procedures.
- Any puncture, cut or abrasion sustained in normal use or damage from unreasonable uses or improper storage.
- Product damaged by extreme weather or environmental conditions.
- Product damaged while in possession of a freight carrier, a dealer, Consumer, or any party other than BOTE®.
- Product damaged by accident, neglect, improper use or handling.
- Product designated as Prototypes.
- Product determined to have been used for any activity other than an activity which is customary for the product.
- Product that has been structurally or dimensionally altered or modified. Product used for commercial or rental purposes.
- Any product that has been lost or stolen
This limited warranty excludes all other warranties, expressed or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, with regard to the applicable part or accessory. Some state, country, or provincial laws do not allow the exclusion of certain implied warranties, so the above exclusion may not apply to you.
This limited warranty excludes any incidental or consequential damages or expenses resulting from any defects. BOTE®’s aggregate liability shall be limited to an amount equal to Consumer's original purchase price paid for the defective product. Some state, country, or provincial laws do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion may not apply to you.
To the extent any limitation or exclusion contained herein is contrary to any country, state, or provincial law, such limitation or exclusion shall be severable and all other terms herein shall remain in full force and effect and are valid and enforceable. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights. WARRANTY FAQS
How long does it take to process a warranty?
Most warranty claims are processed within one week after we receive the returned product. However, some warranty claims may take longer to process depending on the issue and resolution. After submitting the Warranty Request Form, a BOTE® Customer Service Specialist will contact you regarding your warranty claim within two business days and will provide you with additional information at that time.
Am I responsible for shipping charges when returning a product due to a warranty claim?
If your product has been found by BOTE® to be covered under our warranty, BOTE® will provide you with a pre-paid shipping label or help you arrange for pick-up.
Where can I find the serial number on my product?
- Aero (Inflatable) Boards and Kayaks: the serial number is located near the tail of the board and will be etched into the seam.
- Rigid (Gatorshell or Epoxy) Boards: the serial number is in bold black font on the bottom of the tail.
- Aero (Inflatable) Chair: the serial number is located on the back
- Aero (Inflatable) Dock: Serial number is diagonal from the valve
- If your item is not listed above, the product does not include a serial number
I no longer have the original shipping box for my product. Where can I purchase a box to use when returning my product?
If you no longer have the original shipping box for your product, shipping boxes can be purchased from many home improvement stores and moving supply stores. Shipping dimensions for each product can be found the product page for that product.
